On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is my great honour and pleasure to warmly welcome all distinguished guests, dignitaries, and participants to the 5th AMDI International Biohealth Sciences Conference 2026 (IBSC2026). This conference carries the theme Precision Health: Integrating Science, Technology, and Care for Personalised Well-being, with a special focus on head and neck health, cancer, and infectious diseases.

IBSC2026 is organised by the Pusat Kanser Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (PKTAAB), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), in collaboration with Business Event (BE) Sarawak.

In response to the evolving challenges and rapid developments in cancer management and the control of infectious diseases, this conference aims to bring together international and local researchers, academicians, students, medical experts, clinicians, and healthcare professionals. The platform provides an opportunity to deliberate on global healthcare issues related to cancer research and emerging infectious diseases, while also facilitating the exchange of knowledge on innovative technologies, community-acquired infections, and contemporary approaches to cancer care and healthcare management.

As the global landscape continues to change, the rising burden of cancer and infectious diseases poses significant threats to human health. These challenges demand continuous advancement in research, innovation, and collaborative efforts, with an emphasis on reducing adverse health outcomes and ensuring the sustainability of healthcare systems. In this regard, IBSC2026 serves as a timely and meaningful platform for collective engagement and knowledge-sharing as we work together to address these pressing concerns.
