Oral Presentation Guidelines

General Instructions

Each presenter will be given a time slot of 15 minutes in total, which is distributed as 8 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes of Q&A session. There will be a 4-minute break between each talk to allow the changing of presenters. As the schedule of presentation sessions is tight it is of utmost importance that all presenters are ready and in time for their presentations. The introduction of each presenter will be kept brief when introduced by the moderator. For the audience to move between sessions we will keep the scheduled starting time for each presentation even if the previous presentation finished early or was cancelled (e.g. due to travel delays or illness etc).

Before the Colloquium

All oral presenters are required to prepare presentation slides in Microsoft PowerPoint format (ppt/pptx) and must be uploaded to this folder by 4th September 2024.

Save the file with a name that includes the presentation number and name of the presenter (E.g. BS1_Shafinah Ahmad Suhaimi).

Please refer to the requirements below for preparation of the presentation slides.

  • All slides and presentations are in English language.
  • Make sure your PowerPoint presentation is in 16:9 ratio (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
  • Videos must be embedded in PowerPoint.
  • Do not use links to YouTube or other web services in your presentations.

The presentation slides must include the background of the study (Introduction and objectives), originality of the study, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion and references.

During the Colloquium

  • All presenters should come to the presentation venue 30 minutes before the session starts.
  • To ensure compatibility and proper operation of the presentations, all presenters are recommended to check their presentation slides on the provided computer during the registration session on the respective presentation day.
  • To make sure presentations run smoothly during the sessions you are expected to use the computer provided by AUPC2024 while giving your presentation.
  • All presenters must strictly adhere to the time limit of presentation which is 8 minutes.
  • For any enquiry, please contact Ms. Balkees at +6016-4006598.
