Getting to AMDI USM

How to get to and around our research institute?
AMDI USM is one of the Universiti Sains Malaysia campus and it is located at Bertam, Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang. Our research institute is 3.9 km from Bertam uptown and 35 km from the USM main campus. Check out our public transport guide.

Getting here:
1.    By air:

offer daily flight from Kuala Lumpur to Penang Island. The AMDI USM is located at the main land and you could grab a taxi to reach our research institute.

2.    By train:
Keretapi Tanah Melayu (http://www.ktmb.com.my/ktmb/index.php?r=portal/index)
offers daily trip from Kuala Lumpur Central to Butterworth station, Pulau Pinang. Butterworth station is 27.5 km from AMDI USM. Taxi services are available at the train station.

3.    By bus:
Express buses are available from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth. The express busses from other locations in Peninsular Malaysia are also available at reasonable cost.
