AMDI ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO PRACTICE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

BERTAM, 17 February 2017- Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) was n invited to the ‘Revolution Medical Through Islam And Sports (REMETRIS) Festival - Disease Awareness Day’ organised by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Pulau Pinang Bertam Campus.

This one-day program aimed to increase awareness about cancer through exhibitions and discussions among students in the campus.

AMDI participated in the cervix, prostate and breast cancer exhibition.

The Dietetic Unit of AMDI on the other hand contributed to the exhibition by providing information about a healthy balanced diet.

During the program, students had the opportunity to do a health check and inquire about health issues to the nurses and exhibitors to obtain precise information on certain diseases.

This exhibition served as a platform for disseminating the latest information on health. It can promoted a healthy lifestyle and encouraged people to place more importance on health care.
