Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear medicine relies on the usage of radiation to obtain visual information of organs for patients of all ages. Nuclear medicine highlights the anatomical structure, the physiology and the biochemistry of the specific organ. As this field deals with radiation material, it is important to be aware of the radioactive material, and the safety of X-ray towards employees, patients and the general public. The nuclear medicine unit consists of nuclear medicine specialists, pharmacists, physics science offices, nuclear medicine technicians, x-ray technicians, nurses, medical assistants, and health assistants.
