Aman’s research is mainly in the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting molecular pathways implicated in aging related degenerative processes. His recent research work with a team at Oxford University led by the eminent Professor of Ocular Neurobiology, Neville N. Osborne in collaboration with CTG Pharma, Italy, focused on developing and testing novel neuroprotective agents i.e. the Hydrogen Sulphide releasing (ACS) derivatives. These potent neuroprotective agents enhance cellular defence architecture against free radical damage and modulate the process of glaucomatous neurodegeneration. This novel work has been published in several high impact peer reviewed international journals. His collaborative research efforts with other international laboratories have made breakthroughs in identifying novel plant based biomolecules with promising therapeutic potential. These compounds have been tested in various experimental disease models and are currently undergoing human trials. Aman also serves as a Clinical Trial Consultant to various NKEA pharmaceutical companies in collaboration with the Herbal Development Office, Ministry of Agriculture.
