Operation Theater
The operation theater was officially started on 10th January 2013. Located on the 3rd floor of CTC, it is situated next to CSSU and the ICU. The operation theater unit consists of two operating rooms, one patient receiving area, one recovery area and other supporting areas.
Function
1. To provide anesthesia and surgery to patients, to reduce morbidity and mortality due to treatment.
2. To identify and prioritize patients who are unstable to reduce the risk of mortality and morbidity, as well as to increase the recovery rate of patients.
3. To provide local or global anesthesia, to perform pre-anesthesia evaluation and to manage post-anesthesia to patients systematically.
4. To provide holistic are to patients prior to, during, and after surgery.
5. To prepare reports for documentation and research purposes.
6. To ensure that treatment goes smoothly in the operation theater.
7. To ensure sterile conditions to reduce the chances of infection at the wound site.

1. Local or global anesthesia for patients prior to a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure.
2. Facilities for a diagnostic or therapeutic surgery that involves the usage of local or global anesthesia.
3. Performing elective surgery such as general surgery, orthopedic surgery, otorhinolaryngology (ENT) and dental surgery.
4. Scheduling surgery according to individual departments and units, except for emergency cases.
5. On-call team for emergency cases after office hours.
