KEELE UNIVERSITY’S UNITED KINGDOM VISIT TO AMDI

BERTAM, 22 February 2017 – Ms Elissa William, the Global Education Manager of Keele University Kingdom visited AMDI as part of her official visit to several PTJ’s at USM. The visit aims to strengthen the Keele University’s Erasmus International student mobility programme.

Ms William was accompanied by IMCC’s buddy Miss Min Hwei and both guests were welcomed by Associate Prof Dr Bakiah Shaharuddin (Deputy Director for Academic and Student Affairs), Dr Lim Vuanghao (Integrative Medicine Head of Cluster), Dr Noor Fatimah Yahya (Integrative Medicine lecturer), En Mohd Sallehuddin (Public Relations Officer) and En Yusmadi (academic assistant registrar).

During the visit Ms William was introduced to AMDI’s background emphasizing on research, academic and clinical functions. Ms Williams visited the radiotherapy unit, day care unit, centralized research labs i.e. oncology, bioinformatics, infectomics, integrative medicine and the Animal Research Facility.

Our visitors were enlightened on AMDI’s potential to host international students for short attachments and as part of their final year research projects. Ms Williams was impressed on how AMDI positions itself as a research and healthcare facility with creative academic programmes. She looked positively to future networking between AMDI and Keele University.
